Tax offer from Ford

FORD is to help its customers steer clear of the higher-rate VAT level untl the end of February.

Company bosses have decided to offset the 2.5 per cent increase across every model in the market leader's range.

'Even greater discounts remain available for scrappage customers who replace cars at least eight years old," said Ford UK managing director Nigel Sharp

'We want to offer some relief from the cold, tough start to 2010 by delaying the VAT impact on new car prices. Combined with the scrappage deals, they present plenty of reasons to visit a Ford dealer this winter.'

Ford prices have risen progressively in recent months with latest rise in November making even the cheapest Fiesta £11,295.
