What women want in their cars
WHEN it comes to girls' toys in cars what women want most of all is an integral satellite navigation system.
This is the finding of a survey of more than 1,000 female drivers who said that sat-nav is top of their wish list, followed by a sophisticated sound system.
The music player must be able to be connected to their i-Pod or at the very least be MP3 compatible so they can listen to their favourite driving ditties on demand.
The survey was conducted amongst female drivers on behalf of GM Fleet, which placed climate control in third place.
Other high scoring options included sun roofs, parking sensors and infotainment systems.
More than 90 per cent of those questioned said that economy and low CO2 ratings would be well down their list of qualities that would persuade them to buy one model in preference to another.
Asked what were the favourite aspects of their current car, almost half said it is their in-car music system that helps them to overcome the stresses of modern motoring.
