Hilux with new looks
A BEEFED up Toyota Hilux pick-up will be on sale before the end of the year.
With a redesigned front and additional safety features Toyota is hoping the new Hilux will cash in on the growing cross-over market.
Top range three-litre diesel models will also be fitted with a new five speed auto transmission which is claimed to improve average fuel economy from 30.1 to 31.7mpg.
The line up will continue in three body styles - Single Cab, Extra Cab, with additional seating capacity and the Double Cab which will now be offered with privacy glass in the rear windows.
Extra and Double Cabs will also be fitted with a lockable tailgate for use when the vehicle is fitted with a hardtop.
Interior changes include finger-tip steering wheel controls for the audio system while automatic air conditioning is now available on higher specification versons.
Electronic stability controls are being fitted on the top level Hilux Invincible.
Prices are still to be announced but the current model costs from £11,495 to £19,495 excluding VAT.
