Six bands to take on mega fundraiser

ON Saturday (June 27) My First Music will host their biggest gig of the year so far, with a show in aid of Who Cares? Scotland, and with six bands taking to the stage at The Art Hall One, The Grand Hall in Kilmarnock, it should be a fantastic night.

Who Cares? Scotland hopes to raise enough funds to send residents of their children’s units to Nepal in what will be a life changing experience.

As one of MFM’s members is employed in these units, they know of the sterling work that they do.

MFM have lined up some of the best bands around with The Ideals, Dirty Angel, The Hostiles, The Shermans, Denizen and Killie legends The Longhorns all playing on the night.

The gig will be particularly poignant for The Ideals, as sadly it will be the last gig of frontman Paul Gray, and it will also be the final curtain call for the fantastic Dirty Angel, but hopefully all the lads will be back with new projects.

The gig is for over-14s, but there will be a bar. Doors open at 7pm and close at midnight. Tickets are £7 and are available from band members or from Jolly’s Sports Bar, Langlands Street, Kilmarnock.
