MacDonald Brothers: 'Be our number one fans'

HUNDREDS of Ayr fans have helped the MacDonald Brothers claim the number two spot in the week their second album is released.

For they flocked to the Ayr branch of Asda to snap up the brand new album, The World Outside, on the day it was released and to meet the lads in person.

Craig and Brian signed copies of the album, which is outselling top acts including Amy Winehouse and Eric Clapton.

And they’re confident that can overtake superstar act the Stereophonics and claim the number one spot next week.

The Ayr lads are on a hugely successful sellout Scottish tour and will support Westlife in Aberdeen next week.

They said: “We are delighted and a massive thanks to the fans. We are hoping that if they continue to back the Macs next week we can leapfrog in Scotland to make the album our second No 1.”
