THE MacDonald Brothers are to end their first Scottish tour in Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre.
Craig and Brian have announced a two-month nationwide run which will wind up in their hometown.
The tour, which kicks off at the end of August, is to coincide with the release of their second album which is due out on October 15.
Craig revealed: “We thought it would be fitting to end the tour in Ayr and the Gaiety is a great venue with a lot of tradition — it’s the big one! We’ll be dashing all over the country before that, but we really wanted to have the hometown gig kept back for the finish.”
“I’m sure that will be a really special night and we’re looking forward to it already.”
The lads will play venues from Skye to Drumnadrochit on what’s being hailed as a tour to retrace their roots as prize-winning Celtic musicians. Fans will be given the chance to put questions to Craig and Brian on stage during the intimate events.
But Ayr’s X Factor duo are currently in the recording studio after a hectic period of gigs and personal appearances.
And the lads will hit the stage again after the tracks have been laid down for their new record.
Craig said: “We’re excited to be back in the studio and putting this new album together.
“It’s looking good and we can’t wait for the finished product.”
