Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra will play in Chinese restaurant

YOU don’t expect to hear Scottish fiddle music in a Chinese restaurant.

But that’s the unique combination on offer in Ayr’s Shanghai Rendezvous.

Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra is putting on a concert there on Wednesday, February 11.

It’s a fundraiser for their planned tour of China this summer.

And the orchestra is pulling out all the stops to get the cash for the important trip.

Special guests at the concert will be the Chinese Consul General in Scotland, Madame Tan Xiutian, and her vice-consul Zhang Jianxian.

The two diplomats are spending time in Ayr and Alloway learning more about Burns.
