Troon artists hosts exhibition

AYRSHIRE artist Graham McKean has an exhibition of his work Sights for Sore Eyes from May 30, to June 15 in the City Gallery, Howard Street, Glasgow.

“Gallery owner Sean McCauley - also one of Scotland’s leading opticians - approached me a few months ago regarding a possible Glasgow exhibition of my paintings,” explained Graham from Troon, who works from Courtyard Studios, Harbourside, Irvine.

“With the kind of paintings I produce and Sean's background I decided a suitable title would be Sights for Sore Eyes.

“Many of my paintings hav e meanings, such as the oil titled Liberty which was a tribute to my late grandfather Hugh McKean, who was among the first British troops to liberate Belsen concentration camp.

“I am very pleased that my work continues to be regularly included in London, Glasgow and Edinburgh art auctions.”
