Sad day for scone lovers

THIS is a sad week for the scone lovers of Ayr. Mrs Bridges of Old Bridge Street has shut up shop. But Ayr’s loss is Dunure’s gain. The Dunure Inn is Kathy Munro’s next venture and we wish her the very best.

So where does that leave us, the scone connoisseurs who claim that Kathy made the best scones, not only in Ayr, but in the world!

Where should we now go on a Saturday morning? Where can we find world class scones? Any recommendations?
