Free us from Brussels

AT the beginning of November I was shopping at a greengrocer’s shop in Ayr when I was pleased to find that he sources as much of his stock as he can from an Ayrshire farm.

However, he had neither cauliflower or broccoli, not because the Ayrshire farmer had none, but because he had to abide by an EU directive to provide these crops for manufacture into animal foodstuff.

Who is going to make this country free from the increasing lunacies of the corrupt European Union with directives imposed by an unelected cabal in Brussels? Not the SNP, that’s certain! What was their silly mantra; Independence in Europe, was it not? Nor will we be freed by any initiative from Alex Salmond who has yet to acknowledge my letter to the above effect and dated Tuesday, November 4, 2008.
