Christmas stamps sold out

I AM dismayed to find that on December 4, three weeks before Christmas Day, it is impossible to buy Christmas stamps with a religious theme in local post offices.

They appear to be completely sold out, and the only ones available are of pantomime characters.

On enquiring, I am told that they have now received their complete quota of Christmas stamps.

While enjoying pantomime as part of the season, this saddens me as it seems to be yet another example of the secularisation of Christmas.

As a protest, I have bought ordinary stamps instead.
