BROOMHILL FLY & COARSE FISHERY
(Patna/Rankinston B730): Well done to Brian Docherty who won the 2012 fish 4 2k final and walked away with £2000 and a trophy. Brian fished chopped worm/caster and pellet from peg 18 catching carp, skimmer and bream for a winning weight of 22lb 9oz.
Other results: 2. Dan Eaton 20lb 4oz, 3. Davie McAuley 14lb 6oz, 4. Martin Solomen 12lb 8oz.
The top pair were Dan Eaton and Pete Wilson with a combined weight of 30lb, taking home £50 each. Big thanks to Derek and all the staff and everyone who helped at the fishery for a cracking day. A DVD will be available shortly.

COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): Bait pond: Mr Brown from Prestwick caught four fish weighing 8.9 lb, J. Roberts from Cumnock four fish weighing 8.2 lb, A. White from Ayr four fish weighing 7.9 lb, A. McGregor from Ayr three fish weighing 6.25 lb, L. Henderson from Patna three fish weighing 5.8 lb, C. Johnston from Ayr two fish weighing 5 lb.
Fly pond: M. Denton from Ayr seven fish using various dry flies, B. Smith from Kilmarnock five fish using a yellow dancer, A. Graham from Ayr caught five fish using a red headed damsell, C. Knox from Belfast four fish using a pt nymph, R. McPherson from Ayr four fish using a C.D.C. fly.
SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): Fly best catch goes to Mr Jackson from Glasgow who had four fish for 9lbs 7oz. He also released another five all caught on a small fry pattern. Fish are still taking drys. Bait fishing: best catch goes to John Alerdyce from Airdrie with four fish for 9lbs. Best bait –worm.Coarse loch fishing well for roach and skimmers. Best bait is maggot.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton):
the fishery is holding an open pairs competition (fly or bait) on Sunday, October 28 from 8am to 4pm. Cost is £15 (£30) per pair, four fish limit each, heaviest team bag wins, tophies for first three teams. Bookings to the pond on 07527 405715 or go to the Facebook page.
