BURNS TROUT FISHERY
(Tarbolton): winners of the open pairs competition (fly or bait) were Ian Skilling (fly) and Kim Donnachie (bait) with eight fish for 21lb 7oz.
Second were I Gray (fly) and S McClelland (fly) with eight fish for 20lb 12oz. Third were A King (bait) and C King (bait) eight fish for 20lb. A total of 104 fish were caught. The fishery thank the Croft Garage in Tarbolton for their continued support.

COYLE WATER FISHERY
(Coylton): bait pond: Mr McCandlish from Ayr caught five fish weighing 10.5 lb, A. Miller from Troon five fish weighing 9.35 lb, D. Smith from Cumnock four fish weighing 8.75 lb, Mr Odonald from Kilmarnock two fish weighing 5.75 lb, J. Savage from Kilwinning four fish weighing 8.44 lb, Mr McKellar from Kilwinning caught two fish weighing 3.78 lb.
Fly pond: J. Austin from Auchinleck caught nine fish over two visits using pheasant tailed nymphs, Mr Grayson from Ayr eight fish using pheasant tails, Mr Edgar from Ayr seven fish using P.T.N, Mr Munro from Ayr seven fish using pheasant tailed nymphs, Mr McCulloch from East Kilbride six fish using various dry flies, D. Southgate from Prestwick four fish using a parachute c.d.c, M. Denton from Ayr four fish using a white cat, Mr Cairns from Greenock four fish using various buzzers.
SPRINGWATER FISHERY
(Dalrymple): fly fishing going well. George Black from Coatbridge had four fish for 9lbs 2oz and released another three. Brian Clark released six on drys.
Bait pond: Bobby Taylor from Ayr had three fish for 6lbs 8oz, Holly McNeish from Maybole, on her first fishing trip, had two fish for 4lbs 11oz. Not to be outdone, her boyfriend Callum Hill had a nice fish of 3lbs 5oz. Best bait was worm.
Coarse loch: plenty of skimmers and roach. Unlucky Colin from Kilmarnock broke two different rods on big carp. Third time lucky Colin.
