SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): fly loch fishing well. Scott Allardyce released 14, biggest at over 7lbs caught on a yellow dancer. Andy Dunlop released 11 on a black cat. There were many other good catches.
Bait continues to fish well. The Black family from Dundee had four fish for 10lbs 3oz. John Allardyce four for 7lbs 14oz.
Coarse loch still fishing well. Dave Morris had six carp between 5lbs and 10lbs. Bream fishing is better in the deeper part of the loch feeding pellet with corn or pellet on the hook.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): the fishery will hold the Mima Harvey open fly and the Burns Trout Fishery open bait competition on Sunday, August 12 from 8am to 4pm. Cost is £15, both competitions will be four fish limit, heaviest bag wins, trophies for first in both. Bookings to 07527 405715 or go to Burns Trout Fishery on Facebook.
The Good Year AC visited. At their weigh-in, heaviest bag went to W Barkley snr with four fish for 7lb 9oz, 12 fish were caught in total.

Coarse pond: Brian Docherty won last Wednesday’s match with 69lb 4oz, only 5lb off the current match record, second was Harvey Maule with 38lb, third was Tommmy Mitchell (Miracle Baits) 30lb.
Sunday’s golden peg match was won by Jim Anderson with 64lb 4oz, second was Craig Cameron with 60lb 4oz, third was Keith Chadwick with 35lb 7oz.
COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): the bright conditions have made the fly fishing difficult with the bait fishermen coming out on top.
Bait pond: D. Hall from Prestwick caught 10 fish weighing 25.5 lb, B.M.C. from Kirkconnel eight fish weighing 30lb, J. Kerr from Ayr four fish weighing 8.57 lb, W. Doak from Glasgow caught two fish weighing 5.1 lb, P. Riddocks from Forehill two fish weighing 5.78 lb, eight-year-old J. Park from Prestwick two fish weighing 4.25 lb, four-year-old Victor Duddy from Cadiz, Spain caught his first rainbow trout weighing 2 lb.
Fly pond: Mick McGarvey from Ayr caught nine fish using an okee dokee, T. Jarvie from Drongan two fish using a nomad, G. Porter from Airdrie two fish using a muddler, T. Wilson from Ayr two fish using dry flies, J. Aston from Auchinleck two fish using a black hopper, L. Hutchison from Ayr two fish using various dry flies, G. Lancaster from Glasgow caught a nice rainbow trout using a caldy.
RAITH RESERVOIR (Prestwick): a poorly attended week but not an unproductive one for those in attendance.
Resident John Lothian at least nine for the week but forgot to register, D. Johnstone same problem but managed eight, W. McIntosh from Auchinleck four, Bernie Dunlop from Ayr four. Now here’s a man that can fill in a return, I am Legend Shalako just back from Alaska, four specimen blues for 11¼lbs on the blue Hughie, Chris Taylor two rainbow for 5lbs and one blue for 2lbs all on power bait off Swan Isle.
Saturday is the founder members, over 60s and junior competition. Day tickets are still more than welcome to fish as normal but cannot compete.
