COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): improved weather has bought the fishermen out of hibernation and some good bags are being recorded.
Bait pond: S. Kelly from Ayr caught three fish weighing 8.11 lb using worms, J. Teller from Ayr caught five weighing 10.5 lb. M. McLeod from Ayr caught four weighing 8.1 lb, A. McTaggart from Ayr caught three weighing 7.4 lb, R. Dean from Kilmarnock caught two weighing 4.3 lb.
Fly pond: I. Greenwood from Liverpool caught five weighing 10.2 lb and released five others, D. Duncan from Drongan caught seven using a nomad, A. Murphy from Ayr caught three using various flies, J. Walker from Ayr caught two weighing 5.2 lb using a red headed damsel, E. Dowson from Skares broke his duck with a nice rainbow trout caught on a green nomad, Mr Stewart from Ayr caught two nice trout using a nomad, Olaf from Kilwinning caught two nice fish using his own special fly.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): Harbour Lights Angling Club from Irvine caught a total of 53 fish. Heaviest bag went to W Hawkinson with four fish for 9lb 11oz.
