COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): The cold weather hasaffected the fishing with good catches for most of the anglers who have ventured out.
Bait pond: Mr Andrew from Drongan caught three fish weighing 5.9 lb, W. Smith from Ayr caught three weighing 6.3 lb, M. Wilson from Ayr caught three weighing 6.1 lb, W. Neville from Prestwick caught two weighing 4.5 lb.
Fly pond: Mr Cuthbert from Coylton caught and released 13 fish using various flies, Mr Laurie from Coylton caught 10 various lures, Mr Robertson from Cumnock caught eight using buzzers, R. McIlwraith from Coylton caught six using natural rabbits, R. Williams from Ayr caught six using a yellow dancer, M. Brown from Ayr caught five using a red headed damsell, Mr McKee from Ayr caught four using a white rabbit, Mr Dowson from Skares caught two using a white cat.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): With the weather forecast to be a bit on the cold side, every effort will be made to keep the ponds open for as long as possible.

Fly pond: Tam Boyle four fish for 8lb 10oz, A McKie two for 4lb 1oz.
Bait pond: J Patterson eight for 17lb 3oz, J Lothian four for 7lb 15oz, A McFechnie two for 4lb 2oz, Rab Purdie two for 4lb 5oz, Kim Dunnachie two fish for 4lb 9oz.
SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): Fly pond: good to see Bob McPike (Capper), a great friend of the fishery, back fishing after a year off due to ill health.
It wasn’t long until he was at his old self catching fish every day and giving flys to other anglers to help them.
Bait pond still fishing well. Tigger and the boys from Irvine all getting their limit. Best was power bait.
Coarse pond quiet. Get well soon Dave Morris. The carp are missing you.
Bookings are coming in for the Springwater bait competition on the fly loch on Sunday, March 4, £100 first prize depends on how many enter. Junior prize cost £25 for five fish plus lunch. Call fishery on 01292 560343 to book.
