COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): the fishery has been quiet due to the bad weather but the few anglers who have braved the wind and rain have all caught nice fish.
Bait pond: Miss C. Graham from Ayr caught four fish weighing 8.3 lb, N. Scott from Ayr caught four weighing 7.9 lb, P. Bellingham from Prestwick caught three weighing 6.7 lb.
Fly pond: Mr Edgar from Ayr caught six using various buzzers, Mr Grayson from Ayr caught four using a pheasant tail nymph, G. Robertson from Annbank caught two weighing 4.3 lb and released three others, D. Scobie from Dailly caught five using a red bloodworm, G. McDonald from Irvine caught four using a white cats whisker, W. Wilson from Cumnock caught four using a yellow dancer, R. Smith from Kilmarnock caught two using a white rabbit.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): with the change of weather conditions, the fishery will try keep the ponds open for as long as possible. For latest fishing conditions, go to the Burns page on Facebook or phone the pond on 07527 405715.
Fly pond: S Harvey two for 8lb 6oz (one at 5lb 8oz), Tam Boyle three for 7lb 11oz, Chris Letford one for 3lb 2oz, T MaFarlane two for 4lb 4oz, A McKie two 5lb.
Bait pond: J Patterson six for 13lb 4oz, Paddy from Dundonald four for 10lb 9oz, B Gibson four for 8lb 3oz, Kim from Mossblown two for 5lb 7oz.
SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): only winner was the weather. Fly pond fished hard, the water was brown with all the rain the same as bait pond.
Young Rory taught his uncle Dave Morris a lesson on carp fishing getting two lovely winter carp both about 9lbs.
