COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): due to the extreme weather there has been a shortage of fishermen.
Bait pond: Andy McAdam from Ayr caught two fish weighing 4.2 lb, Andy Heron from Ayr caught two weighing 4½ lb, Mr Benton from Cumnock caught three weighing 6.7 lb, Mr Turner from Kilmarnock caught two weighing 3.9 lb.
Fly pond: S. Clark from Ayr caught a beautiful rainbow trout using a pheasant tail nymph, Mr Kerr caught a nice fish weighing 2½ lb and released two others using an okee dokee, Mr Veitch from Irvine caught two using a pink fritz, Alison Wilson from Coylton caught a nice rainbow trout using a blob, Rab Miller from Ochiltree caught five using various buzzers, Mr McDonald from Troon caught three using a hare’s ear nymph.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): fly pond: John Hodge two for 7lb 2oz (one at 4lb 10oz), Ian Skilling eight for 21lb, Tam Boyle four for 9lb 10oz, Stevie Brennan two for 4lb 12oz, Chris Letford two for 4lb 10oz, B Baker two for 4lb 4oz, S McLelland two for 4lb 14oz, I Gray two for 5lb 2oz, Ron Kennedy two for 4lb 2oz.
Bait pond: D McNeill two for 7lb (one at 5lb), J Patterson four for 9lb 12oz, M Bunten two for 4lb 4oz, C Dillon one for 2lb, Scott Gowling one for 2lb.
SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): not a lot to report this week due to the bad weather. Bait pond fished well for those who braved the elements. John Allardyce from Airdrie had five fish for 10lbs 4oz on worm.
Coarse pond still catching plenty of silver fish on maggot.
