RAITH RESERVOIR (Prestwick): due to a chronology of unforeseen circumstances, the club has decided to bring the season to a slightly earlier close than usual.
The water will still be open to members but as the last two attempts to restock failed because of flooding, soft ground and lack of help, there won’t be a third.
It is regrettable but unavoidable as we cannot damage someone’s field or ask the hatchery to take back a third load.
The next event is the annual prizegiving. Last year’s winners need toreturn trophies to Pets Aquarium, Main Street, Prestwick as soon as possible for engraving.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): the fishery is holding an open pairs competition (fly or bait) on Sunday, October 16 from 8am until 4pm, cost £30 per pair, four fish limit each, heaviest team bag wins, trophies for first three.
Bookings to 07527 405715 or go to Burns Trout Fishery on Facebook. Places for fly pond are limited so book your places to avoid disappointment.
