BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): fly pond: Titch (age 54) two for 7lb 8oz (one at 4lb 6oz), S Hamilton five for 11lb 5oz, J Carlyle four for 9lb 8oz, K Gotch one for 2lb, G Gotch snr two for 4lb 4oz, Frazer Galloway two for 3lb 10oz, G McLean two for 3lb 12oz, Bill Dykes two for 4lb.
Bait pond: Frank Mullen two for 5lb, Rab Purdie three for 6lb, J Menzies two for 3lb 8oz, A Buchanan three for 5lb 8oz, M Kyle one for 1lb 12oz, Logan McDowall (age eight) one for 2lb 4oz, Frankie Mullen one for 1lb 15oz, Kim two for 4lb, J Lamb one for 1lb 14oz, Ian Crosbie three for 5lb 6oz, Liam Featherstone two for 3lb 12oz.
BROOMHILL FISHERY (Patna /Rankinston B730): fly pond: Turning Point AC had a good day with 12 caught.
Rab also released 11, Ally Inglis 10 c/r, Dougie Inglis six c/r, R. Crichton three c/r, Danny Szulc five c/r, T. Wilson four c/r, R. Travers two kept, G. Travers one kept, J. Dodds one kept, Barry Black 11 c/r, Sean Black eight c/r (two days), T. Howe one kept 2lb 2oz, R. Richmond one kept 1lb 10oz, Chris Wells three c/r, Olaf six c/r. Best flies: Minky, Buzzers and various flies.
Bait pond: R. Simpson four kept 8lb 7oz, D. Wills two kept, 5lb 3oz, F. Roche two kept 5lb 6oz, S. McGuire five kept 12lb 4oz, R. Richmond one kept 5lb 2oz. Bait: worm and power bait.
COYLE WATER FISHERY (Coylton): Bait pond has been closed for most of the week for extensive maintenance and is expected to re-open by this weekend if not it will be early next week. Sorry for any inconvenience caused but we are sure it will be to our bait anglers advantage.
The fly loch is now totally free from weed and is fishing very good. Fish are being taken on most dry flies and the main lures are black fritzes and dark nomads.
Bait pond: Cobey Jarvie from Drongan caught two fish on his first visit to the fishery and has added to them on subsequent visits. He is now hooked.
Fly pond: Coogie Reid from Ayr caught and released eight fish on various buzzers.
T. Wilson caught four using a fly, T. Jarvie from Drongan caught seven on buzzers, A. Burns from Kilwinning caught three weighing 8½lbs and released another four, J. Morrison from Ayr caught and released six using his famous green machine, A. Bennett from Ayr caught and released three using a black fritz, K. Burns from Kilwinning caught two using a nomad, J. Edwards from Ayr caught two weighing 6¾lbs, I. Muncie from Dreghorn caught and released two using green nymphs.
