DALVENNAN FISHERY (Patna to Kirkmichael road): the fishery, which was closed for around four years, will have an official re-opening on Saturday, March 19 at 9am.
Owner William Wilson, who took it over last August, has made many alterations. Details from 07902 134339.
BURNS TROUT FISHERY (Tarbolton): the fishery was visited by Stewarton Street Angling Club who caught 14 fish between them, with heaviest bag going to E Caldwell with four for 7lb 14oz.

SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): fly pond continues to fish well. The Dumfries Arms pub had a competition and all the anglers bar one had their four fish limit. Best weight went to Tommy Gilmour with four fish for 11lbs 2oz.
The Troutmasters fish off was won by John Anderson from Ayr with six fish. Good luck John in the final.
Bait pond fishing well. Alan McLaughlan from Kilmarnock four fish for 8lbs 3oz while John Porter from Girvan had three for 7lbs 2oz. Best fish this week was 5lbs 2oz.
Coarse pond still catching catching roach, skimmers and the odd carp.
BROOMHILL FISHERY (Patna/Rankinston B730): a fishing party from Turning Point had a good day with 13 kept, the heaviest being 4lb 2oz.
Catches: James Barr two kept 4lb 6oz, Frank Corbett three c/r, Tiny one c/r, Danny Szulc 14 c/r (two days), Archie Thom four c/r, Tom Wilson eight c/r, Robbie Kerr four c/r, T. McGuire three c/r, W. Sands two c/r, R. McKnight five c/r, D. Spence six c/r, John Barrie one c/r, Scott Barrie two c/r.
Best flies: Daiwal Backs, black/green Fritz, Kate McLaren. Best bait: worms and maggots.
RAITH RESERVOIR (Prestwick): last permit renewal date is this Friday (March 11) in Glenburn Miners Club from 7pm to 9pm.
There are a limited number of vacancies for new members. Bring along an application form or a letter of introduction.
Raffle donations would also be welcome.
A work party at Raith Reservoir has been arranged for this Sunday from 9am until midday when a good response would be appreciated.
The season starts at 8am on Tuesday, March 15. Could all catch returns please be submitted.
