BURNS TROUT FISHERY (near Tarbolton): With the change of the weather, fishing has been limited. To check fishing conditions, phone the pond on 07527 405715.

Some of the catches were: on the fly pond: Tam Boyle three fish for 6lb 7oz, J Watson two for 3lb 12oz.

Bait pond: K Dunn (age five) two fish for 3lb 12oz, E Dunn one for 2lb, M Quinn two for 4lb 4oz, P Quinn one for 1lb 14oz, D Caven one for 1lb 14oz.

SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): Not a lot to report this week with the weather being so bad. The bait competition had to be cancelled with the loch being frozen. This will be rearranged for Sunday, December 12. Call the fishery to book again.
