BRITAIN'S best-finishing Tour de France performer will be among the ace cyclists at this year's Braveheart Dinner in Kilmarnock.
Bradley Wiggins, the multiple Olympic champion who was fourth in this year's 21-day spectacular, will be the big name at the event in the Park Hotel on Saturday, October 31.
Philippe Gilbert, winner of both the Paris-Tours and Het Volk in 2008 will be among the 300 cycling enthusiasts.
Both Bradley and Gilbert will be at the Braveheart ride earlier in the day, subject to flights being on time, and will take part in a question and answer session hosted by David Harmon (Eurosport) and Anthony McCrossan(Cyclevox) with participants.
The cycle round Kilmarnock will take two forms - an easy trip of 20 miles and an extended one of around 45 miles from St Joseph's Academy at New Farm Loch. Entry has been limited to 500. A trade show will sell cycling merchandise.
