Fishing: Junior anglers catch on fast
ANNBANK Angling Club held the second leg of their annual Junior fishing competition at Annbank Fishery on Saturday, May 30.
The results were as follows:
1. Connor McCann - four fish, 8lbs 14oz; 2. Madelaine Holland - two fish 5lbs 1oz. 3. Sophie Holland - two fish, 4lbs 5oz. Heaviest fish of the day went to Madelaine – 2lbs 11oz.
The overall winner of the first and second legs was Madelaine Holland with nine fish – 19lbs 2oz. Second was Aiden Wilson with six fish – 11lbs 9oz. Third was Sophie Holland – five fish, 10lbs 7oz.
A great day was had by all even if the conditions – hot dry and sunny – weren't ideal for fishing.
