Thai Boxing: Instructors get it tough

THAI boxing instructors Chris Shaw and Paul Kelly are facing tough competition at the Reebok stadium in Bolton.
Chris is fighting the UK’S top ranked fighter, Steve Jones, in a full Thai frenzy. Full Thai rules allow punches, kicks, elbows and knees to the head and body but the young fighter from Mossblown is up for it.
Chris could have fought Jones in last year’s Contender Asia UK eliminators but the pair never touched gloves!
Bellsbank’s own Paul Kelly is also fighting on the Supershow on Sunday May 31. He is re-matching the only person to have defeated him, Panicos Yuesef, again with full Thai rules.
The pair train and work in the Wossobama Gym and teach classes to all ages and abilities. They are also available for private tuition to work on the finer points of Thai boxing.
