Motor Rally: Ayr driver puts on good show
AYR co-driver Stuart Cant had a successful day at the Speyside Stages Rally at Elgin when he navigated Steven Smith to 49th overall, third in class for cars with eight valves up to 1600cc and second overall in the Brick and Steel 205 Ecosse Challenge.
Stuart, 17, had joined East Kilbride youngster Steven for the Speyside as his regular co-driver was on holiday.
Stuart thanks J. L. McLellan (plumbing and heating) and Hillhouse Quarry Group for sponsorship.
His next confirmed rally is the Drumlanrig Stages on September 14 followed by the McRae Stages on September 27.
