Hockey: It's back
AYR Hockey club have started training for the 2008-2009 season. Sessions will be held at 7pm every Tuesday, covering both fitness and skills for all levels.
Old and new members are welcome to come along and join in. Call Fiona, Barry or the clubhouse on 01292 442885 for contact numbers.
The annual hockey festival will be held at Cambusdoon Sports Club, Alloway, on Saturday and Sunday August 30 and 31.
So far 15 visiting teams are expected so it should be another exciting weekend.
The men’s first eleven have been promoted to the National League Division 3 and the 3rd X1 are up into the West Area Second Division.
The first game for the 1st X1 will be against Chapman Motherwell, the ladies first X1 and men’s 3rd X1 will also be playing their first game of the season at home.
The ladies 2nd X1 and men’s 2nd and 4th X1 will be away, all games will be on Saturday, September 13. Spectators are welcome.
