Cricket: Prestwick babes sweep into final
PRESTWICK Cricket Club youngsters are on course to retain the Frank Smith Trophy.
The under 18s bowled into the final when they beat derby rivals Ayr at Cambusdoon last Wednesday.
Neil Smith and Neil McLeod both hit 32 as Ayr reached 106-2 off their 20 overs. In reply, Prestwick eased to victory at 107-3 with more than five overs to spare. Craig Morrison top scored with an unbeaten 38 while Darren Thomson smashed 23 not out off seven balls. Prestwick will play either Ferguslie or Greenock in the final at neutral ground.
