Ayr rugby boys are called up by Glasgow Thistles

SIXTEEN Ayr under 15 and under 16 boys have been invited to the Glasgow Thistle’s training camp in Perpignan this summer.

There were only 50 places available so this is a good indicator that Ayr’s youth section are striving to replicate the seniorclub success.

Perpignan gives the boys top class coaching every day as well as gym, medical and theory support. A coaching team of 12 will accompany them and include 1st XV coaches Kenny Murray and Peter Laverie.

Sponsorship has been achieved for a large amount of the trip but the boys are still looking for sponsors and fundraising opportunities.

The full squad is Angus Johnston, Ben Johnston, Andrew Mill, Adam MacDonald, Grant Baird, Cameron McCormick, Gavin Lowe, Ewan Bulger, Ruairidh Bottomley, Callum Hamilton, James Armstrong, Oli Craig, Daniel Law, Jamie Morrison, Jack Preston, David Lymburn.
