Rugby league: Ayr Knights shine in Rochdale

AYR Knights rugby league team kicked off their tour of Rochdale with a 60-28 win over Mayfield.

Two tries each came from Lee McGilvary, Tom Henry, Aiden Holland, Jason Slattery, Jordan Marshall and Craig Greer.

Rochdale coach Paul Scanlon Wells said: "It was a rare sight to see a group of rugby league players from the south of Scotland with the determination that was on display. Look out all the teams who are ahead of the Knights this year.”
