TRIUMPHANT Ayr Rugby Club want to mobilise an army of fans for the second week running.
The Millbrae marvels are still on cloud nine after beating Melrose at Murrayfield to win the Scottish Hydro Premier Cup.
Now they are out to do the double by retaining their Premier League crown.
Proud president Billy McHarg said: “We had around 2000 fans with us for the final with 13 buses alone leaving from Millbrae.
“Now we want to take another big support with us for Saturday’s crunch league game against leaders Currie at Malleny Park.
“I reckon that if we win on Saturday, we will take the league although we still have difficult games at Heriot’s and Selkirk to come.
“Saturday was the best atmosphere I have ever known at Ayr Rugby Club. The heads are still sore - but it was well worth it.”
Ayr are offering cut price bus fares of £5 for the game at Currie. Buses will leave Millbrae at 12.30pm. Seats must be booked from Bill McHarg’s office (tel: 283005) or Millbrae (tel: 441944) by 7pm on Thursday.
