Carrick Rugby Club beat Arran

CARRICK beat Isle of Arran 18-16 in National West League Division Two. They took the lead on a sodden pitch with a Euan McGregor penalty which was quickly cancelled out.

In the second-half, Arran scored with a penalty before a fine inter passing move between Kenny McCahill and Euan McGregor saw McCahill score an unconverted try. Carrick appeared comfortable until with four minutes to go Arran scored a breakaway converted try to reduce the leeway to two points.
