AYR gained promotion to the National Hockey League at the sixth attempt with a thumping play-off win over Aberdeen Grammar Former Pupils team.
After taking an early lead through Fraser McCurdy, Ayr were pegged back before stepping on the gas with their prize in sight, and Gordon Cuthbert put them 2-1 ahead at the interval.
Despite having Alan Low off the field for ten minutes due to a second caution, Ayr kept their heads to drive home their advantage.
Cuthbert added a killer double on the counter attack to complete his hat-trick and all but seal the glory.
Low rejoined the field in triumphant fashion to add another goal to the tally, before Duncan Batchelor rounded off a memorable day by making it 6-1.
This emphatic win means that Ayr will now play in Division Three next season.
