Bully for Ayr pair

TWO Ayr hockey club juniors, Scott Hainey and George Adams represented West of Scotland at the British Divisional Championships in Nottingham.

In a high standard event the team played well, completing the competition with three wins and two draws.

They narrowly missed a place in the final following a late equaliser against North East England but then bounced back to win the bronze medal play off game.

Scott was named goalkeeper of the tournament as voted by the other team managers.
