THE Ayr Seaforth club cross country championships were decided after the national cross country championships at Falkirk.
The championship points were based on the results of the best three from five races: Ayrshire relays (October), Kilmarnock Harriers races (November), Ayrshire cross country championships (November), West District cross country championships and National croaa country championships (February).
Results: senior men: 1. Greg Templeton 30 pts; 2= Andrew Rae and Laurence Baker 26 pts; 4. Tom McCulloch 14 pts; 5. Neil Burnside 10 pts; 6. Ian Baird 6 pts; 7. Callum Aitkenhead 6 pts; 8. Barry Duddy 5 pts; 9. Peter Laing 4 pts.
Under 17 men: 1. Finlay Rae 30 pts; 2. Ewen Webster 26 pts; 3. Scott Jones 6 pts.
Under 15 boys: 1. Ben Steven 30 pts; 2= Shaun Rennie and Andrew Black 24; 4. James Pettigrew 16 pts.
Under 13 boys: no boys completed three races so no champion or runner-up. Connor Gracie (two races, 20 points), Jonathan Henry (one race, 8 pts), Nathan McAllister (one race, 6 pts).
Under 11 boys: 1. Daniel Martin 28 pts; 2. Ewen McLevey 26 pts, 3. Steven Martin 17 pts, 4. Greg Oakley 9 pts, 5. Lewis Ross 6 pts; 6. Cameron Black 5 pts; 7. Oliver Smith 4 pts.
Senior women: 1. Louise Hill-Stirling 30 pts; 2. Toni McIntosh 26 pts; 3. Laura Wallace 6 pts.
Under 17 women: 1. Sarah Cassels 30 pts; 2. Katie Sprang 24 pts; 3. Lauren Goldie 18 pts.
Under 15 girls: 1. Louisa Kelly 30 pts; 2. Emma Vallely 24 pts; 3. Leigh McLevy 22 pts; 4. Laura Meader 5 pts.

Fixtures: On Sunday at Saltcoats on the new track next to St Matthews Academy, the first open track and field meeting of the outdoor season is organised by Ayrshire Harrier Clubs’ Association in conjunction with K.A. Leisure.
The meeting has been transferred from Dam Park as the new track at Ayr will be relined starting on April 10.
The track at Ayr will be closed for club training from April 10 to 22 (inclusive) subject to weather. It is hoped to return to normal training at Dam Park on Tuesday, April 26.
Club coaches will be making alternative training arrangements during this period away from Dam Park.
The Saltcoats meeting starts at 11.30am with a full track and field programme for all ages from under 11 upwards. Registration from 10.30am, entries after 11.30am will close 20 minutes before each event.

This meeting will count as part of the selection process for the Ayrshire Harriers Young Athletes track and field team, U13, U15 and U17 age groups which will compete in the Scottish Young Athletes League.
