Ayr Seaforth win four indoor team prizes

AYR Seaforth athletes exploded into action at the Kelvin Hall Sports Arena on Sunday at the long awaited first match of the Scottish Athletics Indoor League.

With teams in all age groups ranging from under 11 to under 20, Seaforth were in outstanding form, winning four age groups - under 20 men, under 17 men, under 15 boys and under 20 women.

The next indoor league match is back at the Kelvin Hall on Sunday, February 20. Individual results hopefully will be available next week and will show the outstanding performances which produced these excellent team results.

Results: U20 men (from eight teams): 1. Seaforth; 2. Clydesdale; 3.:Whitemoss; U17 men (15 teams): 1. Seaforth ‘A’; 2. VP Glasgow; 3. Giffnock North; 14. Seaforth ‘B’.

U15 boys (from 14 teams): 1. Seaforth ‘A; 2. Giffnock North; 3. Livingston; 14. Seaforth ‘B’; U13 boys (from 22 teams): 1. Whitemoss; 2. Seaforth ‘A’; 3. Giffnock North; 13. Seaforth ‘B.

U11 boys (from 14 teams): 1. Giffnock North ‘A’; 2. Seaforth ‘A’; 3. Giffnock North ‘C’; 6. Seaforth ‘B’.

U20 women (from four teams): 1. Seaforth; 2. Giffnock North; 3. Motherwell; U/17 women (from 14 teams): 1. Giffnock North; 2. Shettleston AC; 3. VP Glasgow; 4. Seaforth.

U15 girls (from 21 teams): 1. VP Glasgow; 2. Seaforth ‘A’; 3. Shettleston; 6. Seaforth ‘B’; U13 girls (from 25 teams): 1. VP Glasgow; 2. Seaforth ‘A’; 11. Seaforth ‘B.

U11 girls (from 13 teams): 1. Giffnock North ‘A’; 2. Giffnock North ‘B’ 3. VP Glasgow; 6. Seaforth ‘A’.

The next induction group session for boys and girls from age nine to 13, takes on Tuesday, February 1 at Dam Park from6-7pm.
