Mayeul Ducrot is Ayr Seaforth’s cross country champion

AYR Seaforth are set to honour their prize cross country runners.

Frenchman Mayeul Ducrot is senior men/under 20 men’s champion with 30 points, four ahead of runner-up Laurence Baker.

Other awards: Under 17 men: David Carter (28 points); Under 15 boys: Finlay Rae (30); r-up: Kelvin Walker (25); Under 13 boys: Andrew Black (30); Under 11 boys: Daniel Martin (17); r-up: Jonathon Duff (13).

Under 17 women: Louise Hill-Stirling (30); Katie Sprang (24); Under 13 girls: Kirsten Oakley (30); r-up: Lisa Rennie (24); Under 11 girls: Amber MacDonald (20).

Club track and field championships (2010): Andrew McElwee was senior men/under 20 men’s champion with 45 points, six ahead of Jonathon Thompson.

Special club awards will also go to Seaforth athletes who won gold, silver and bronze at the national or UK championships.

Andrew Murphy: Scottish (indoor) combined events pentathlon: 1st with 2881 points, Scottish outdoor open: 3rd in shot (13m 55), third in pole vault (3m 20), third in 100m hurdles (14.36), Scottish indoor closed: 2nd in pole vault (2m85), 3rd in 60m hurdles (8.92), 3rd in shot (12m55), English/UK indoor combined decathlon: 3rd with 4039 points, English/UK outdoor decathlon: 2nd with 5612 points, Scottish decathlon/combined events: 1st with 5222 poins (championship best).

Wallace Graham: Scottish indoor closed: 2nd in 60m (7.33), 2nd in 200m (23.41), Scottish indoor open: 3rd in 60m (7.25), 2nd in 200m (24.13).

Finlay Rae: 2nd in UK inter counties and McCain UK cross country final (4.5k course); Sam Revie: Scottish outdoor closed: 2nd in 100m (11.60), 2nd in 200m (23.42).

Jemma McSheffery: Scottish indoor closed: 1st in 800m (2.26.13).

Rachel Whittle: Scottish indoor open: 1st in 60m hurdles (8.90), Scottish senior indoor:1st in 60m (8.00).

Under 20 women: Rachel Hunter: Scottish (indoor) open: 3rd in shot putt (10m34), Scottish outdoor open: 2nd in shot putt (10m98).

Meghan Logue: Scottish senior (indoor): 2nd in 200m (26.89).

Seaforth’s under 17 women won the 4 x 200 metres relay at the Scottish indoor junior championships in Glasgow in February.

Coming home in 1.46.72 were Caroline George, Kendal Ross, Hazel Jamieson and Rachel Whittle.

All award winners will be honoured at the club trophy presentation in the Horizon Hotel on Saturday, November 13.
