Athletics: Ayrshire Harriers finish third from eight

AYRSHIRE Harriers finished third from eight teams in the first meeting of the Scottish Young AthletesDivision One.

Rising to the challenge at Grangemouth were the combined team of youngsters from Ayr Seaforth, Kilmarnock Harriers and North Ayrshire AC.

The match score after the 107 track and field event was: Edinburgh 656 points; Giffnock North 551½; Ayrshire Harriers 459½; Victoria Park/City of Glasgow 438; Shettleston 434; Pitreavie 430; Falkirk Victoria Harriers 406; Kilbarchan 291.
