PRESTWICK Academy’s fine run in the Coca-Cola 7’s came to an end in the National Finals at Tynecastle Stadium on Sunday.

Prestwick’s first game was against Trinity High School, Renfrew. Prestwick dominated the whole match but couldn’t turn their pressure into goals. Prestwick pushed for a winner as the match drew to a close but were caught on the break and Trinity scored to finish the match 1-0 winners.

In the second game Prestwick were up against St David’s High School. Prestwick struggled against a very strong and powerful team and deservedly lost the game 4-0.

Prestwick only had pride to play for in the final game against Ellon Academy and they turned in their best display of the tournament. Ellon went ahead but Prestwick finally got reward for their good play and scored an equaliser through Darrel Crossan. The match finished 1-1.

Thanks to all the parents and friends who travelled to Tynecastle to support the boys.
