AYRODYNAMIC athlete Angus Peden claimed a stunning last gasp victory in his latest triathlon.
Peden came from behind to storm past junior athlete Michael Adams with just 500m left in the Aberdeenshire race.
Trailing by more than two minutes after the swim section of the course, Peden’s chances looked to be gone.
But he launched his recovery over the 20k cycle and completed a dramatic comeback on the 5k run, posting the fastest bike and run split of the race by seven seconds.
And his time of 1:08:34 proved too good for the rest of the field.
Meanwhile, in round eight of the Mazda Junior Aquathlon Series held at Balfron, Ayrodynamic's Marc Auchie finished sixth in the male Age 11/12 category (200m swim/2K run) with a time of 15:43.
