Ayr Seaforth athletes finish fourth in league opener

AYR Seaforth athletes of all ages teamed up to finish fourth from eight clubs at Linwood on Sunday.

They were competing in the first match of Division One Central and South of Scotland League.

In the women’s team competition, Seaforth finished third on 272 points behind Giffnock (300) and Kilbarchan (297).

The males, missing several key members, finished fifth on 256 points.

Fixtures: On Sunday, a combined Ayrshire team compete in Division One of the Scottish Young Athletes League at Grangemouth.

The team, comprising boys and girls from U13 to U17, is made up from Seaforth, Kilmarnock Harriers, Irvine and Girvan. Bus leaves Ayr railway station car park at 9.15am with pick-ups in Irvine and Kilmarnock.
