DAVID Wilson (Troon Welbeck) is celebrating a double after winning the Ayrshire Strokeplay Championship at St Nicholas on Sunday.
After winning the Edward Trophy by four shots over Glasgow Gailes the day before, 17-year-old Wilson repeated the winning margin with rounds of 68 and 68.
Runner-up was Keith Hamilton (Belleisle) on 141. A shot further adrift were Tommy McInally (Loudoun), John Shanks (Irvine) and John Haggarty (Loudoun).
The top 16 go through to the matchplay which begins on Monday, May 7 at Western Gailes.

lSCOTLAND boys' international Euan Walker led the way as Kilmarnock (Barassie) retained the Matt Lygate Trophy and Ayrshire Boys’ Team Champions title at Dalmilling.
Teams representing 14 Ayrshire clubs took part in the event, with the best three scores counting towards the team total.
Walker, who was first out in the Barassie team, posted an excellent four under par 65 to help his team to a 212 total and a 10 shot winning margin over second place Irvine (Bogside).
Ballochmyle took the Andrew D Nimmo Trophy and handicap Champions title with a team total of 204.
The Prestwick Circuits Trophy for the best individual scratch score went to Euan Walker, his 65 being the only return under par of the day, six shots ahead of his nearest challenger, team mate Stewart Russell.
Scott Figgins (Ravenspark) took the Carrick Trophy for the best individual net score with 81 less 16 for 65.
Stewart Russell (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Robert Clark (Ballochmyle) won the two individual handicap classes with net scores of 66.

lLESLEY HENDRY (Largs Routenburn) is the Ayrshire ladies county champion for the sixth time after beating 18-year-old Mhairi McKay (West Kilbride) 4&3 in the final at Troon Portland.
