TEENAGER Charlie Macneal has won the Ayrshire Junior Order of Merit.
The Ayrshire boys’ champion from Troon Welbeck took the title from Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) with clubmate David Wilson third.

lAYR Belleisle won the Ayrshire Junior League’s Under 16 Knockout Trophy when they beat Prestwick St Cuthbert 3-1 in Sunday’s final at Largs.
Match details (Belleisle names first): Jack McCluskey beat Greg Telfer 4&3; Darryl Lynch lost to Mark Reid 5&4; Ross Cameron beat Daniel Webster 2&1; Jordon Sweeney beat Nathan Galloway 2&1.
This Sunday, Largs will host the junior league final between Kilmarnock (Barassie) and Ayr Belleisle.
It will also stage the junior champion of champions final between Joseph Howie (Ardeer) and Craig Telfer (St Cuthbert).

lTOMMY McINALLY (Loudoun) has won the Doc Thom Ayrshire Order of Merit for the first time.
Scottish amateur champion Michael Stewart (Welbeck) was second with third place going to internationalist Steven McEwan (Caprington).

lPRESTWICK St Nicholas, who were relegated from Division One of the West of Scotland Ladies Inter Club Championship for the Greenlees Trophy last year, have clinched promotion back to the top flight at the first attempt.
In dramatic fashion, they also won the Division Two title in their final match of the season.
St Nicholas began their match against Lanark knowing that a 7.5-1.5 win or better would see them snatch the title from leaders Whitecraigs.
Catherine Malcolm, Rosalind Purdom, Robina Gilbertson, Anne Wallace and Moira Whiticombe made the goal of 7½ points achievable by winning the first series of ties on the course for a 5-0 lead.
Maureen Short, in the eighth tie, made it 6-0 before Wendy Hollingworth suffered a rare loss in her tie at number seven to make the match score 6-1 in favour of St Nicholas.
With only two ties remaining on the course, Fay Ross secured an all important half match in the sixth tie, which left the destination of the title in the hands of Sheila Shedden in the ninth and final tie.
Leading by one hole with two to play, Sheila took the 17th for a 2&1 victory to spark title celebrations.
lFOURBALL specialists Scott McCahill and David Wallace, who are in their third final in four years of the Ayrshire Championship, have qualified for the national finals.
Representing Maybole Golf Club, the duo booked a place in the last 16 of the Daily Mail foursomes event and will travel to the Marriot St. Pierre course, Chepstow from October 17 to 19.
