AYRSHIRE youths remain unbeaten in the West of Scotland Inter County Leagues after a 5-5 draw against Renfrewshire at Caprington.

In the corresponding ‘A’ team match at East Renfrewshire, Ayrshire lost 7-3 to the current area team champions with the highlight for Ayrshire being a win by George Robertson over former Amateur champion Craig Watson.

On Saturday, the ‘A’ team entertain Stirlingshire at Prestwick St Nicholas while the youths travel to Falkirk.
lPRESTWICK Golf Club, representing Scotland in the European Men’s Club Trophy in Turkey, finished 12th out of the 24 competing nations after the three round competition finished on Saturday.
Their team of Jonathan King, Allan Thomson and James Bunch finished on two over par 440, leaving them 25 shots adrift of the winners, from the host club, representing Turkey, on 415 (23 under par).
lPRESTWICK’S Ross Drummond produced his best finish of the season in the final regular tour event of the year, the Benahavis Senior Masters at La Quinta Golf & Country Club, Marbella, Spain.
Drummond finished on 208, six under par, for three rounds to finish only one shot behind the tournament winner, Carl Mason (England). He had rounds of 67, 69 and 71.
Drummond will finish the season at the OKI Castellon Senior Tour Championship at the Club de Campo del Mediterráneo, Castellón, Spain from November 6 to 8.
