TURNBERRY’S Scott Brown fired a three round 199 to win the scratch prize in the three day Girvan Golf Classic which drew a field of 145.
He was five strokes ahead of runner-up Weir McCulloch (Carrick Sports) who edged out Gary Bryden (Girvan) on the same score.
The handicap prize went to Martin Hoggitt (Brunston) on 185. He was one shot ahead of Hugh Boyd (Brunston) with Mark Cameron (St Meddans) third on 187.
