lTHE final of the Ayrshire Junior Champion of Champions Trophy will be between Adam Foley (Belleisle) and Scott Brown (Turnberry) after both won their respective semi-finals by 3&2.
Brown, a former Ayrshire boys’ champion, is the reigning Ayrshire matchplay champion and the 2008 winner of the Junior Order of Merit and MacRobert Thistle Junior Golfer of the year.
Foley, was the beaten finalist in the Ayrshire Boys Matchplay Championship in 2007. The final is at West Kilbride on Sunday.
lLOUDOUN, in their centenary year, are through to the final of the Ayrshire Summer League after a 4½-1½ home win in the second leg of their semi against Ballochmyle.
After securing a 3-3 draw away, Loudoun's win at home gave them a 7½-4½ overall win to go through to the final where they will face 2007 champions Irvine (Bogside).
The first leg is at Loudoun by September 21 with the return match at Irvine due by October 8.
lTHE final of the Ayrshire Fourball Championship, between Gary Jordan and Douglas Anderson (Annanhill) and Scott McCahill and David Wallace (Maybole) will be held at Prestwick St Cuthbert on Friday at 3pm.
lAYRSHIRE vice-president David Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) is only five points off the top of the Scottish Seniors Golf Society Order of Merit table.
It will be decided during the end of season shoot- out over Blairgowrie Landsdowne today (Thursday). With players in the first six places in the Order of Merit still in contention to take the title, it promises to be a dramatic finale.
