Scottish Amateur Championship at Troon

AYRSHIRE will have 23 players in the field of 256 for the Scottish Amateur Championship at Royal Troon from Monday, July 27 until Saturday, August 1.

It will be the sixth time the national championship has been played at Troon since its inception in 1922. Ayrshire's only winner at Troon was Jack Cannon of Irvine Bogside in 1969.

Michael Stewart (Welbeck) and Steven McEwan (Caprington) are two of the eight seeded players in the event.
