Cath carries off the Kelco
CATH RAMSAY from Maybole won Girvan Ladies’ open competition for the Kelco Plate.
Cath returned a net 62 for victory, while Greta Smith from Ardeer took the cup for best scratch score of 72.
Best scores in the bronze section were: M. McCulloch (Barassie) 64, Lynda Gordon (Girvan) 64, S. Johnstone (Kilbirnie) 65, Catharine McCrindle (Girvan), Isobel Kyle (Brunston) 66.
Silver: Elinor Heggie (Girvan) 65, E. McLelland (Monreith) 67, B. Wallace (Loudon) 68, Liz Neill (Girvan), L. Greig (Kilbirnie) 69.
Roz McCulloch’s net 64 was best score by a Girvan player.
Honorary member Betty Girvan sold raffle tickets, Girvan Golf Club secretary Bill Tait presented the prizes, and there was great 19th hole hospitality from Margaret Milligan.
Girvan Ladies’ captain Kathleen Thomson thanked everyone who contributed to the day’s success.
