ANDREW WRIGHT (Kilmarnock Barassie) fired a scratch 70 to beat a field of 91 and win the Prestwick Boys’ Open at St Cuthbert on Monday.
Runner-up was Declan Flood (Caprington) who pipped Scott Johnston (St C) on the better inward half after both shot 71s.
First class: Kieran McHale (Clydebank) (9) BIH, Alistair Berry (Ravenspark) (8) 66; Steven Brown (Girvan) (9), Scott Liddle (St N) (9) 67.
Second class: Jordan Cairns (St C) (12), Christopher Hewitson (St C) (15) 64; Daniel Webster (St C) (20) 65; Steven McLeish (Belleisle) (15) 67.
Under 16: Rory McKenzie (Welbeck) 72; Jack Brown (Cathcart Castle) 73; Best St Cuthbert boy: Mark Lawrence (17) 67.
