Nancy Chisholm tees up top post

PRESTWICK St Nicholas stalwart Nancy Chisholm is one of four former office-bearers invited by the Ladies Golf Union executive council to become honorary vice-presidents of the ruling body of women's amateur golf in Great Britain & Ireland.

Nancy served as LGU chairman in 1997 and Scottish Ladies Golfing Association president from 2003-2007.

A former ladies club captain and club champion of St Nicholas ladies on ten occasions, Nancy has held many senior positions in ladies golf at a national and international level, as well as having undertaken refereeing duties at many major international amateur event.

lTHE closing dates are rapidly approaching for entries into three of the major Ayrshire Golf Association events.

Entries for the Ayrshire Summer (scratch) League are due January 31. Ayrshire Fourball Knockout competition: £12 and are due by February 14. Ayrshire champion of champions trophy: £12 are due by February 21.
